In 2006 the Trasimeno Music Festival Association was formed in Perugia, formed thanks to the meeting of two different worlds: the Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt and the Municipal Administration of Magione, Municipality of the Lake Trasimeno district.
The artist, known for her performances worldwide for the recording of all the music for keyboard instruments by J.S. Bach, was captivated by the natural beauty of the place and decided to bring us her music, thus giving life to a seven-day summer festival.
The events take place in various theatres and art venues in the region, hosting legendary musicians and young talents.
In 2023 the festival will be held from June 29 to July 3 starting with the opening concert by artistic director Angela Hewitt strong> at the Oratory of San Francesco dei Nobili in Perugia.
