In addition to the Funky Train, Free itinerant train animated by DJs, every corner of the acropolis will have its own musical identity: from folk music and dances of Southern Sant’Ercolano in the People’s Workshop at the pop-dance 70s – ‘ 80-90s in Piazza Matteotti, from the repertoire of Italian songwriters revisited in folk-rock and ska from key Distillery Steam in Piazza Danti to dance selection of Steve dj at the Republic Square, to the Italian music reinterpreted by rock ‘n’ roll the Sex Mutants in Piazza Santo Stefano and the New Year Blaze Up reggae with Mr. Joint Selecta & Zionet in Grimana Square.
Even the New Year in Perugia celebrates the fortieth anniversary of disco music, with a special event inserted in the festivities in the historic center of 31 December. At 00:15 in Piazza della Repubblica Tony Manero lives on in ‘1977 to 2017, 40 years’ Fever, a flash mob to the tune of ‘Stayin’ Alive ‘that will bring the calendar for a few minutes in the New York of the late’ 70s.
